TO REGISTER FOR SPRING 2010 CLASSES, YOU WILL NEED A NETWORK ID
Registration for Spring 2010 classes will follow a staggered start schedule beginning
on Tuesday, October 27. Very nearly all SIUC students will be
self-registering using a new Web registration module within
the SalukiNet portal. However, in order to self-register, you need to
log into SalukiNet using a Network ID.
Starting June 15, 2009, all existing Network IDs have been converted to a new format of siu85xxxxxxx (where your
DAWG Tag is the 85xxxxxxx number that follows the "siu" part). This new Network ID will first need to be "claimed"
before it can be used to log into SalukiNet. Instructions on how to do so are
here.
If you are a new applicant to SIUC, you will automatically be assigned a Network ID in the format of siu85xxxxxxx
(where your DAWG Tag is the 85xxxxxxx number that follows the "siu" part). Your DAWG Tag is automatically assigned to
you as well, and you can go here to find it. You will
then need to "claim" your Network ID (using instructions here) in
order to log into SalukiNet. As part of claiming this Network ID, you will be asked to answer a set of security
questions, then create a strong password that follows these rules. This password is
required, by state regulations, to be changed every 120 days.
For everyone: Have you forgotten your Network ID's password? Do you need to change your password
because it is about to expire,
or has your password already expired? For any of these situations, you can go
here to get them taken care of.
