Term Status
Some students are required to maintain a full-time status during the term, while others can be on some type of part-time status. These statuses are calculated based on the number of active registration hours for the term.
For regular Fall and Spring full semesters, the calculation of term status is as follows:
Level | Term Status | Hours Range | Note |
---|---|---|---|
Undergraduate | Full time | ≥ 12 | |
3/4 time | ≥ 9 and < 12 | ||
Half time | ≥ 6 and < 9 | ||
< half time | > 0 and < 6 | ||
Graduate | Full time | ≥ 9 | ≥ 8 for those with at least a 0.25 FTE graduate assistantship |
3/4 time | ≥ 7 and < 9 | ||
Half time | ≥ 6 and < 7 | ||
< half time | > 0 and < 6 | ||
Law | Full time | ≥ 12 | |
3/4 time | ≥ 9 and < 12 | ||
Half time | ≥ 6 and < 9 | ||
< half time | > 0 and < 6 |
